Abstract

We presented polarization-extinguished waveguide couplers for silicon photonic wires. The structure is made by an asymmetric Si waveguide clad by SiC and SiO ₂ . A preliminary result shows the polarization-extinction- ratio can be more than 17 dB. ©2010 IEEE.
