Abstract

We simulate the generation of terahertz radiation by using photoconductive antenna excited by noise-like pulses (NLPs). Our simulation results show that the bandwidth of THz spectrum generated by NLPs is narrower than by mode-locked pulses which is from same laser system in the low frequency region. However, the spectrum generated by NLPs exhibits additional components extended to higher frequency, though the power is relatively low.
