Abstract

ELISA Extended-nano space Immunoassay Nanofluidics Single-molecules Control and Systems Engineering
We integrated ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) in 10 nm spaces (extended-nano space) for quantification of single and countable target molecules. In the single-molecule ELISA, artifacts (false signals) should be zero. However, causes of artifacts were unknown. Here, we identified two causes, residue materials of device fabrication processes and non-specific adsorptions. By eliminating them, we realized ELISA without any artifacts for the first time.
