Abstract

Converter control Modeling Power factor correction (PFC) PWM Random switching Robust control
This paper presents the development of a flyback switch-mode rectifier (SMR) and its switching and voltage dynamic controls. In power circuit, the rating derivation and design for its constituted components are made. As to the control affair, a novel charge-regulated varying-frequency current control scheme is first developed. The proposed switching scheme possesses the advantages of without slope compensation, having robust current tracking control and ease of implementation. Then the quantitative and robust voltage regulation controls considering nonlinear behavior are made. The performance of the developed SMR is verified experimentally. Finally, the random switching for the developed SMR is studied. © 2008 IEEE.
