Abstract
We reported a simple approach to generate gold nanoparticles from HAuCl 4 containing aqueous solution by synchrotron x-ray irradiation at room temperature. The gold colloidal were investigated by a variety of characterization methods including Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Fourier transformation infrared (FTIR), Ultraviolet and Visible (UV-VIS) spectrometer and the effects of variables including pH value, radiation time were examined. © 2007 American Institute of Physics.
