Abstract
In order to develop a polymer material which possessed a high refractive index for a woodpile type photonic crystal, hyperbranch aromatic polyamides with ferrocene at the chain ends were synthesized. As a result, the hyperbranched aromatic polyamides containing ferrocene unit exhibited the refractive index more than 2.0 by using confocal microscope. Then we have prepared a hyperbranched polymer that has different degree of branch. It was revealed that the electrochemical properties of the polymers depended on the degree of branch, according to the cyclic voltammetry measurement.
