The Tamm plasmon (TP) polariton is a plasmonic resonance excited at the interface between a photonic crystal (PC) and a metallic film. In this work, a tunable TP device is proposed by filling liquid crystal (LC) molecules in the cell gap between the metal film and the onedimension PC. The resonance wavelength of TP device can be tuned by changing the phase of LC layer. Experimental results show that the resonance wavelength shifts when the refractive index of LC layer is increased.
