Abstract

Electronic Optical and Magnetic Materials Mechanics of Materials
The structural, optical and mechanical properties of nm-layered Titania/Silica composites are illustrated, and their potential as candidate high-index, low-thermal-noise, and cryo-friendly materials for 3rd generation interferometric GW detectors is discussed.
