摘要
This work demonstrated a novel microfluidic device to increase the capturing rates of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) by using a micro-printing technique to form magnetic ink arrays on top and bottom substrates. With this approach, arrayed traps of magnetic pearl-like bead-chain structures could be used to capture cells while incorporate with target specific aptamer-coated superparamagnetic beads under an alternating magnetic field. Straight and skewed bead-chain structures could be formed to increase the capture rates of CTCs. The capture rate of cancer cells was found to be as high as 81%, which is about 18% higher than the traditional method. © 2023 IEEJ.
