Abstract
In this thesis, palladium and rhodium-catalyzed carbon-carbon bond formation and C-H activation reactions and their application in organic synthesis are discussed in detail. For convenience and clarity, the thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter explains the synthesis of benzo[b]furan, 1H-isochromenyl and 1,2-dihydroisoquinoline 1,2-dihydro-1-naphthalenol derivatives, the second chapter describes about the synthesis of phenanthro[1, 10-bc]oxepine derivatives, the third chapter deals with the synthesis of substituted pyridine derivatives and fourth chapter explains the synthesis of isoquinoline and tetrahydroquinoline derivatives.
