Abstract
Chapter I Pyrene, a flat aromatic molecule, exhibits excellent fluorescent properties. Recently these studies have few reported on OLEDs. Herein We develop highly fluorescent pyrene series that combined with polyamines by easily synthesized. Finally excellent green doped and blue OLEDs devices were fabricated and explored the efficient approach to modify flat aromatic molecule like this. Chapter II We design and synthesize a series of BINOL chiral (Circular polarized) materials for the application in polarized EL. The devices were fabricated by regular thermal deposition show ‘NO’ polarized properties. Next We lead into rubbing alignment process liked LC (liquid crystal) to fabricate devices that show polarized properties. Polarized ratio is about 4.0, but it is not good enough. Furthermore, we also used highly self-assemble Discotic LCs to make several polarized test and with a excellent polarized ratio is about 20. Finally, because of material’s energy level not match and the limit of process we can’t fabricate a fully polarized device. Chapter III Rod-type polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) attracted many scientists because it exhibit specific optical property can be applied in the research of OTFT. However, it was difficult to achieve the synthesis of these shape materials exhibit variety of these had been studied. Herein, we used ICl to cyclization internal alkynes or TpRuPPh3(CH3CN)2SbF6 to catalyze terminal alkynes to achieve rod-type PAHs and characterized. We also modified it to become the much suitable for OTFT and tried to derivative plane-type PAHs from rod-types.
