Abstract
The Summary of Dissertation This Doctoral dissertation talk about three main topic： 1.The synthesized discussing about local district of T'ang dynasty and its administration. This division includes observing local district by means of knowing both the establishment of county and National Land Plan. 2.Some supplementary description of The “Li”（里）level, including assignment relationship between XiangZheng（鄉正）and LiZheng. 3.From T'ang dynasty to Sung dynasty, the issue about what the character of executive of Local District transferring into the labor type. The thesis divides into six chapters. The first part launch talking by virtue of the historical comments of Wenxian tongkao（文獻通考）. It talks about some principles and skills on which history researching is suppose to have, with regard to source using and question researching. The second chapter discusses the concrete administration of T'ang dynasty. This chapter analyses the meaning about both household quantity and the number of Village District（鄉級） in Yuan-ho Chun-hsien Chih（元和郡縣志）. It also introduces National Land Plan during Kai Yuan Period. The third chapter interprets both status and assignment of local executive in T'ang dynasty. This chapter also points out that it has a crossing administration in the administration of Local District in T'ang dynasty. The crossing administration is the “Li”（里）level which in terms of household quantity and legal natural village（村） working together. This arrangement is exclusive trait of T'ang dynasty. No matter what period before Sui dynasty or after Sung dynasty, there are no local administrations like this. In chapter 4, I talk about some Historiography Theory or Historiography thinking, including the ability of perspective and appreciation to historical development. We need to establish this chapter.
