Abstract
Gas barrier film (GBF) is a vital protective component for many flexible electronic devices because it can minimize the penetration of water vapor into the main components of the devices. Conventionally GBF have multi-layered structures that contain both organic and inorganic solid layers. A novel method of fabricating a new multi-layered GBF is proposed here. A precision coating method is used to prepare the gas barrier film. The water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) of this GBF is lower than 0.005 g/m2-day.
