Abstract
Global warming is a serious concern for people around the world. The solution that all parties agree on is the use of electric vehicles to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and air pollution from the old internal combustion engine vehicles. Thailand also has been influenced by global warming concern. The government has supported the use of electric vehicles both directly and indirectly. The use of electric cars in Thailand is still in the initial stage, so the future directions may not be predicted. However, for Thailand, it is believed that the future will be the era of using electric cars as the main vehicle instead of the current engine. The purpose of this study is to explore the current situations and the future of electronic cars industry, to see how the energy companies like gasoline ones, would adjust to the shifting in vehicles consumption. The author has an interest in PTT, a national energy company. A study of the company readiness was conducted by studying the company's data and the company's response to the role of electric vehicles. Then analyzed the company's competitive position and finally offered some recommendations that would be beneficial to the company and the readers.
