Abstract
In this research, the methodology of a case study is used to clarify the business operation model, key successful factors of three British’s creative industry incubation organizations, which the study especially chooses from examples of different level: university-based, non-profit (social enterprise), and private-based ones, respectively . In-depth interviews of Taiwan’s three creative industry incubation organizations are used to cross reference with those found in British to find out the differences of creative incubation between these two countries. Suggestions were made especially for Taiwan’s creative business organizations and government, as proposed in the final part of the thesis. After finishing the research, the study finds that Taiwan’s creative incubation organizations almost apply the same business model as the British, but the “power” is “weaker” than the British, especially in “marketing power”. British creative entrepreneurs have several times marketing opportunities to sell their products to the customers no matter in events, stories, activities, website…etc. Besides, the British creative business incubation organizations can afford to coach creative entrepreneurs by their own internal robust staff and with the assistance of a strong external network of creative business advisor. Moreover, the private creative business consultant provides free knowledge sharing and holds free activities for the creative entrepreneurs to help businesses and encourage creative entrepreneurship, and so the creative industry grows vigorously and blooms.
