Abstract

In this thesis, we want to have the geometric visualization of surfaces oh revolution with constant Gaussian curvature by means of some suitable mathematical software. The followings are the processes and results of our work :In chapter 1, we will recall some theories on surfaces of revolution with constant Gaussian curvature.In chapter 2, we divide surfaces of revolution with constant Gaussian curvature K into three parts- K = 0, K > 0, and K < 0. Next, we solve an ordinary differential equation in each part. The solution of the ODE will help us to find the profile curves of surfaces of revolution in each part. With these preparations complete, we will carry out some projects so that we can have the geometric visualization of surfaces of revolution with constant Gaussian curvature by using the software " Mathematica 4.0 ".
