Abstract
We calculate 2->2 amplitudes for quark-antiquark as well as gluon-gluon collisions by means of the open-string scattering formula and evaluate the high energy proton-proton scattering cross section via string state excitations in the TeV string-scale scenario. By using the narrow-width approximation we find a sum rule for the decay rate of the string resonances with different spins at each mass level. We show that string resonance contributions can dominate in the high energy region. At the LHC, we can test the model by searching for the string resonances with the spectrum n^(0.5)Ms and by searching the angular distribution of the lepton pair in Drell-Yan production.
