Abstract
Color Filter (CF) is the most essential key components for TFT-LCD industry. Color Filter plays a symmetrical role in upstream and downstream production planning. For a production planner, the challenge will be achieving objectives of the overall production management through collaboration planning for overcoming the different limitations of suppliers and major material’s requirements in order to increase the utilization rate. This research proposes the quantized plan to the collaboration planning problem for Color Filter manufacturing Company between manufacturing department and the purchase department. The researcher sees from the angle of the manufacturing department. After receiving demand plans from the business segments, the researcher uses a decision model to consider the upstream supplier's supply energy and mechanism of production restrictions, and to offer planner an arrange tool in order to achieve the optimal logistics management. Using a Color Filter manufacturer’s collaboration planning model for upstream and downstream suppliers as an example, Lingo, a package software is used as a analytical tool for enlisting limitations and solutions by comparing the difference between actual happening and hypothetical analysis, and sorting out the correctness of model and applicable usage. This research’s model and analytical procedure can be used as a reference for advanced panning and scheduling system used by related industry manufacturers and software provider.
