Abstract
This report is focused on discussing the relationship between the geometric structure and its electrical parameters for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells(DSSCs). With the electrical parameters the efficiency of the DSSC can be predicted. However, the efficiency of DSSC is dependent on many parameters, some of which are readily obtained while the others are not. The approach is based on the equivalent circuit to find unknown parameters through a predictive model built from measurable data, wherein the commercial software ANSYS is used to analysis the resistance. With the predictive model all necessary parameters of large geometric scale of DSSC can be predicted and then the I-V curve is simulated based on the equivalent circuit. From the I-V curve the efficiency is calculated. The predictive model can tell the engineer which parameters are the most significant to the improvement of the efficiency. This research will aid the engineer to concentrate on the high efficiency DSSC design and shorten the development cycle of new products.
