In this study, we used laser ablation inductively coupled mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) to establish the bioimage technique of multi-element distribution with the assistance of matrix laboratory software (MATLAB). This technique is applied to provide the two- and three-dimensional image and to calculate the mean intensities of particular regions. We also employed this technique to produce the elemental distribution of a tumor slice, which contained Gd-doped iron nanoparticles (IONPs) during the treatment of magnetic fluid hyperthermia (MFH). The results of data processing revealed a high correlation between the distribution of Fe atoms and Gd atoms and proved that the IONPs entering into the tumor didn’t decompose. The distribution of essential elements such as C, P, and S in an organism had an empty region where the MFH treatment had been. Consequently, the LA-ICP-MS technique related to MATLAB can not only produce the spatial distribution of essential elements in tissue but also provide the information of cancer treatment in the tumor in the future.
