Abstract
Weighted fair queueing (WFQ) has long been a popular paradigm for providing bounded delay and separation between flows in wireline networks. Motivated by the growing use of wireless access technologies, the adaption of wireline fair queueing to wireless domain has received increasing attention. However, adapting the WFQ to wireless domain is non-trivial due to location-dependent and bursty channelerrors. In this paper we propose optimal schemes that are based on combining WFQ with compensation techniques. In our previous work, we have formulated the compensation policies into three optimization problems. Here, we present our scheme and its extension in a distributed architecture. Its compensation policy is based on an optimization problem, whose solution is distributed. Further discussion will be presented in this paper.
