Abstract
CO2 laser plays an important role in many applications.For someapplications, the laser frequencyhas to be stabilizedfor thesake of precision measurement.For typically frequencystabilization methods, for example 4.3 um saturated absorptionfluorescence, the frequency error signal is obtained by thefirst or third harmonic demodulation methodin which the laserfrequency is modulated.At present, frequency modulation (FM)method is widely used in laser frequency stabilization andspectroscopy.In this thesis, we will investigate the feasibilityof the frequency stabilization using the CO2 saturatedabsorption signal and frequency modulation method.
