Abstract
Study on the Middle-Aged Unemployment in terms of Labor Turnover Student ： Yi-Jung Lin Advisor ： Prof. Hwei-Lin Chuang ABSTRACT The unemployment problem in Taiwan, especially about the middle-aged unemployment, increases every year, and its ratio of the whole employment market is so big that the middle-aged unemployment is affected very seriously by this unemployment current. In the past records, they divided the labor states into three parts-employment, unemployment, and un-labor force, and then they induced them into six possible floating directions which are the mutual transferences among these three parts. At first, we also try to divide them into original three parts. Due to the lack of the number of unemployment in sample, we will merge unemployment and un-labor force as the people who are out of jobs. Thus, it will be more convenient for us to make an advanced research on the unemployment problem about the middle-aged employees. We use longitudinal data to analysis and the data were covered from August 1998 to March 1999.
