Abstract
Today, the number of startups are growing faster than ever before. For startups, the market entrance timing becomes the most important key to success, so it is important to ensure product delivery on time. Through the in-depth interview and comparison of two companies with different scales and both serving startups at their customers, we see that companies at different stages face different risks. For example, SMEs tend to have less budget thus focus more on financial resources. Larger enterprises fear the reliance on only a handful of buyers, and are constantly seeking to develop their scope of business. This research will discuss the key success factor in innovative projects and the influence of the scale of companies on project management. Literature reviews and case-studies are compared to conclude what strategies work best with startups of different scales.
