Abstract
Abstract TFT-LCD is a highly competitive industry and also requires huge capital investment. Supports by Taiwanese government along with semi-conductor industry, Taiwan TFT-LCD now plays very important role in world wide TFT-LCD supply chain. The development and progress in this industry will also have huge impact on our economy and society if without correct and suitable guidance for strategy. As a biggest emerging market in the world, China is really catching everyone’s attention almost in every industry. Will Taiwan’s TFT-LCD industry also need to migrate to Mainland China due to the world wide market and industry environment? I-Ching and modern decision analysis do provide us systematic and thorough perspective in looking into these issues. This thesis will start from current TTF-LCD industry description and also look into the special features which affect the outlook of this very industry. Follow by the I-Ching assisted perspective along with the 5 forces analysis framework and SWOT techniques, this thesis will also give possible solution directions for the Case Company and also compare the benefits of this I-Ching assisted decision analysis.
