Abstract
A TAM(Technology Acceptance Model)-based model is proposed to test the impact of user factors on sofware’s CMM implementation. After analyzing 69 returned samples from the ISIA and IMA, the major findings of the study are:1.The external variables such as sufficience of resources and organizational support play a significant role in shaping the user’s attitude to CMM implementation.2.The same variables, sufficience of resources and organizational support, also significantly influence the CMM implementation levels.3.The combined analysis of the above two data reveals that the user’s attitude is playing an important role in mediating the impact of external variables on CMM implementation levels.4.The CMM implementation results in a significant improvement on organization performance.5.In addition, the comparison of pre-CMM and post-CMM implemetation on organization performance shows a distinct progress on customer satisfaction, task on-time schedule rate, software quality, personnel productivity, and personal morale and learning effect.
