Abstract
This paper will firstly explain the development and current status in traditional electronic engineering industry, furthermore, I will use Five forces to analyze the challenges and difficulties within the industry and possible strategies that could help to overcome them. The content of this research, I will use the case of Nan-I electronic engineering Ltd to study. The author has involved in electronic engineering business for more than two decades, and witnessed the growth and transformations of this industry. In the past, electronic engineering used to be the foundation for all public infrastructures and technological developments. Although the level of technique continues improving and innovating, the difficulty in human resource development was restrained by the characteristic of traditional industry which leads to the bottleneck in management and further developments. Nan-I Engineering Ltd was established in Aug, 1991. Human resource development and management are two major problems for the company’s future growth. Continuous increasing in sale and expanding in business scale didn’t attract more talents to join, instead, the shortage of skilled employees as current status. As a CEO of Nan-I electronic engineering Ltd, The author will analyze the electronic engineering industry, and determine the managerial skills and manners that could improve the human resource development of the company, as well as to other traditional industries.
