Abstract
This research presents a simulation of optical Pick-up head system including effects of optical elements and builds a controller-design interface. When designing optical pick-up head controller, this interface allows users consider both system dynamics and optical characteristics, then they can modify controller to fit the situation precisely. Considering effects of optical elements will increase the comprehensiveness of controller design. For engineers, this creates the possibility of predicting optical performance and servo control results before manufacture . We first introduce the four basic optical theory, show why wave optics is important to simulation of optical path, optical disc pick-up head system, the focusing and tracking optical principles, and servo control system. Then we explain the simulation construction of optical and servo system to show the model of optical path, system dynamic and controller. Finally, we illustrate how optical and servo control simulation are combined, explain parameter transformation and program flow. Then we show the simulation results and real responses to prove the feasibility of this platform.
