Abstract
To combine hardware and software resources and network functionality, network virtualization involves resource virtualization and platform virtualization. Several issues such as virtual clustering with federated clouds are related. To provide virtual clustering over federated clouds, traffic patterns seem to be potentially alleviated by a software-defined networking (SDN) approach such as OpenFlow (OF). Virtual clusters are interconnected logically by virtual network across several physical machines.\indent connectivity as a service, but it's designed for single cloud. In this thesis, we implement an experimental scenario as a proof of concept dealing with virtual machine clustering over federated clouds, Additional global rules are added to OpenStack’s virtual bridges to keep inter cloud connection and to reduce the complexity of federated clouds architecture. Then, we evaluate the network architecture and the OF rule space on tunnel bridges.
