Abstract
Due to increase in supply of natural gas and shortage of crude supply, much interests on conversion of methanol to aromatics (MTA) has been generated. The present experimental study reports the performance of five H-ZSM-5 for conversion of methanol to aromatics in fixed bed reactor at ambient pressure. The study discuss about the effect of total acidity(TA)、time on stream (TOS)、temperature (T) and weight hourly space velocity(WHSV) in formation of aromatics. A good relation was observed for strong acidity (SA) with respect to selectivity of benzene and toluene. Also low WHSV and high temperature will favor benzene formation.
