Abstract
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a very attractive technique for high-bit-rate data transmission and has been adopted by IEEE Standard 802.11a WLAN.In this thesis, we combine LDPC codes and OFDM to refine the IEEE Standard 802.11a baseband physical layer. By using appropriate LDPC codes, we can obtain considerable performance improvement over the AWGN channel.
