Abstract
The research focused on the five areas related to supplier quality management for a semiconductor firm including the (1) Incoming inspection and abnormal management (2) Supplier assessment (3) Supplier audit (4) Supplier evaluation (5) Supplier involvement. By using the TRIZ approach, this thesis analyzes the approaches to address these issues and provides the solution and the possible development mode in the future.The methodology of this research is to combine TRIZ method and case study, with questionnaire and interview in order to investigate topics below:(1) To analyze the current issues of the supplier quality management for a semiconductor firm and to search the possible solutions.(2) To identify the relationship and contribution of the five areas of supplier quality management.(3) To explore the development direction of supplier quality management from the view of evolution.The main contributions of this research is listed below:(1) Identify the most important issues of supplier quality management for the semiconductor sector by the analysis of questionnaire and interview.(2) Provide a new methodology for problem solving in supplier quality management by using TRIZ theory and tools.(3) Setup the contradiction matrix of supplier quality management of the semiconductor sector for focusing quickly and easy to find the direction of solution.(4) Setup the management system diagram of semiconductor sector for system improvement, resources management, personnel arrangement and training.(5) Setup the strategy table of supplier quality management of semiconductor sector for the management by different level suppliers.
