Abstract
A powerful user-friendliness computer-aided testing system of gate performance for Automatic Fare Collection in Taipei Rapid Transit System has been successfully developed on Microsoft Windows98 system. The computer-aided testing system consists of the pre-processor subsystem, data analyzer and interpreter, post-processor subsystem and user interfaces. The fundamental design concept for the per-processor and post-processor development is introduced; an improved experimental setup for acquiring data stream of gate performance testing is also established. With the present developed computer-aided testing system, the gate performance testing between the UTM board and the ticket transport for five different modes has been explored. The superiority of this computer-aided testing system of gate performance for AFC system has been demonstrated in the study.
