Abstract
AbstractTaiwan’s semiconductor industries, facing strong demands on global supply chain management, have to improve enterprise overall performance, reduce inventory, enhance capacity utilization, shorten the product time to market, and enhance the pro-active responsiveness to the changes. Corporations are reviewing and enhancing their supply chain architecture and incorporating information technologies to introduce technological innovation to construct highly efficient, competitive, and foresighted business architecture, for them to gain competitive positions. The purpose of this research are focusing on Taiwan major two semiconductor industries sectors during their supply chain management developing milestones to study three key topics below:1. The crucial issues of SCM which existing in semiconductor industries in Taiwan.2. The innovative methods or approaches of Taiwan seminconductor industries.3. An Innovative Competitiveness Development Reference Model for semiconductor industries to construct a creative and organized approach to supply chain innovation. The purpose to build this reference model is to construct well-organized innovation process and tighten the connection with internal supply chain. The model incorporates key modulars that includes market force, business strategies of semiconductor manufacturers, core processes, knowledge of core processes, innovation cycle, and with the measures to evaluate innovation effectiveness. Via the driving force of technologies and principles, provide semiconnductor industries a more efficient way to deploy innovation, to build up differentiatial strength, and to meet various competitions.
