Abstract
The Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) has approved the 2020 industry development strategy on November 21, 2011. With the vision of innovative economy and LOHAS Taiwan, three principles: (i) upgrading the traditional industries, (ii) promoting new industries and (iii) manufacturing services and globalization and technicalization of service industry, are defined to promote the strategies and to adjust and optimize Taiwan's industrial structure. In which, talent developments would be an important key. This study discusses the plan of constructing enterprise architects, which is implemented by Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and founded by the MOEA. By training the leaders and directors of corporate science and technology projects, the objectives are to familiarize them with the mechanism of enterprise architects, and to change the existing thinking. The trainees would be the seeds for reforming the corporate science and technology projects and spread their experiences to the industry to achieve the goal of industrial transformation. The purpose of this study is to explore the feasibility and possible future practices for promoting and constructing the building of enterprise architect. The cases study explores application of enterprise architect in the talent education and corporate science and technology projects. This study concludes the implementation results and contributions till now and proposes ways forward for promoting Enterprise Architecture for Taiwan's industry.
