Abstract
This study dealed with the isolation and characterization of the compounds from the six species of aquatic plants in Taiwan, including Euryale ferox, Monochoria vaginalis, Eriocaulon buergerianum, Salvinia natans, Pistia stratiotes, Rotala rotundifolia. There were 68 compounds being isolated, including 17 new compounds and 5 being isolated from natural product by first time. The structures of these compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectral data (UV, MS, IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR) and chemical evidence.
