Abstract
AbstractWith the rise of the global TFT-LCD industry, the related liquid crystal industry is blooming. The magnificent foreground will expect in the future. It is inevitable trend that no matter internal or external related manufacturers have to eye with hostility to contest for this tremendous business. However, liquid crystal doesn’t display itself. Hence, the back light module that is second of the key components of LCD only less than color filter is provided the flat light to LCD. Even back light module is the important investment items among the industry rivals.The back light module belongs to height customization industry that is focusing on the customer oriented, tailored, including simple, complex, grant or small quantity assembly products. The manufacturers can provide the products through the strategy of a customization mass production to fulfill the customer requirements. On the other hand, it can focus on the design of customization products, the development of components to satisfy the customer needs, and to apply onto their products. Using two kind of model above to increase the company gross and to enhance the partnership with customer is furthering a sustainable competitive advantage of the industry.The key components of back light module are prism sheet, light guide and cold cathode fluorescent lamps that amounted to 63% of total materials cost. At present, the key components and the material resource of back light module are almost control by some Japanese or American companies. If the back light module industry of Taiwan is developing by this way, it will make the industry being in deindustrialization and unplowing situation.The purpose of this research is to find the competitive advantages to make the sustainability and to stay in Taiwan by using the data of internal or external related Industry as well as the current situations of Taiwan manufacturers to discuss how to face the huge business of the TFT-LCD industry under pressure of international competition in the future.Key word：TFT-LCD, Back Light Module.
