Abstract
This thesis describes how the safety analysis TRACE model of Lungmen ABWR was built and the present results of applying this model for steady state analysis. Development of Lungmen TRACE model is mainly based on the plant design data. The existing RETRAN safety analysis model of Lungmen is taken for an important reference for the model development. The thermal hydraulic system of the plant is composed with one dimentional components, including reactor pressure vessel and parts inside the vessel, steam lines, safety relief valves, feedwater etc. Two important plant control systems, namely feedwater control system and steam bypass & pressure control system are also included in the model. A study on steady state analysis is performed after the model was built, present result shows that the calculated thermal hydraulic parameters are quite different from the plant design values, meaning there is still room for improvement and further studies of the model before it can be utilized for safety analysis. TRACE is a still under developing thermal hydraulic analysis code, it is not fully developed yet. It is found in our study toward steady state calculation that different versions of TRACE can produce significantly different results. Keywords: Lungmen, safety analysis, TRACE.
