Abstract
This paper based on the mass customization the related literature on the customer order decoupling point and application in to bicycles manufacturing environment. And bicycle main production processes are bicycle frame manufacturing, frame painting, and final assembly. This is similar to the vehicles manufacturing. Besides, the bicycles have modularized and high brand value in components. Therefore, the supply chain management is very important in bicycle delivery strategy. In the custom bicycle, consumers could configure to the frame artwork and color, and configure the components; meanwhile, to apply customer order decoupling point could reduce the order fulfill process time to satisfied customer. This paper provided the procedure how to application mass customization the customer order decoupling point in custom bicycle. One is considering the production dimensional. And another is considering the production and engineering two- dimensional.
