Abstract
Academic entrepreneurship is regarded as one of the factors which affect the economics of a nation nowadays, but the issue on knowledge management in academic entrepreneurship has not been broadly discussed yet. The cross-disciplinary interaction in academic entrepreneurship is especially rarely studied. However, in the age of time-based competition, if a new start-up has to deal with the time consumption in cross-disciplinary communication, the progress of entrepreneurship or commercialization will be influenced. The objective in this research is to find out the interaction phenomena in terms of knowledge activities in an entrepreneurial team. We adopt grounded theory method to figure out the important factors such as the interaction context, and the cognition of academic entrepreneurial team members before the interaction among them. Besides, we also explore these interactions and obtain outcomes. In this research, we know what factors in academic entrepreneurship influence cross-disciplinary interactions. Also, we realize the interactive behaviors in the knowledge activities in academic entrepreneurship, and the results or effects after the interactions. Academic entrepreneurs in the future can reduce the time consumption in cross-disciplinary interactions through understanding the interaction phenomena in academic entrepreneurial process.
