Abstract
This thesis studies on energy transfer process in conjugated polymer PFO doped with phosphorescent emitter (Btp)2Ir. By comparing photo-luminance (PL) spectrum and photo-induced absorption (PA) signal of polymer films with various doping concentration, we investigate the change in the population ratios and life time of singlet and triplet exciton of PFO. From the quenching of singlet exciton of PFO and reduced life time of triplet exciton of PFO, it concluded that both Forster energy transfer and Dexter energy transfer happen. However, high doping concentration cannot quench exciton of PFO completely and it may be due to the fact that (Btp)2Ir cannot disperse uniformly in PFO film.
