Abstract
This thesis aims to design the servo system of a DVD-player with CPLD(Complex Programmable Logic Device). That consists of focusing, tracking, seeking and spindle servo, and sends the control effort to driving IC of DVD-player via peripheral circuit. This thesis integrates the individual servo system and demonstrates its feasibility by experiment results. The servo system will switch to tracking servo when focusing servo completed. Once the seeking command is issued, the system will switch to seeking servo. During the seeking, the spindle servo will accelerate or decelerate according to the direction of seeking.
