Abstract
After 2000, personal documentaries have beome the bomb.Environmental documentaries record many ecosystem place in Taiwan. In recent years, Environmental documentaries have not only recorded ecosystem issues, but also have recorded history context and political situation. This kind of practice makes Environmental documentaries a multivirate element and different issues. The study analyzes many documentary films of 3 director, whose name is Po-Lin Chi, Hsin-Yao Huang, Chun-Hsiu Hung. Based on “Place” concept in Human Geography and “National allegory” in Fredric Jameson book. The purpose of the study includes：(1) analyzes narrative strategies of documentary films, to find out how the “Place” recorded in films；(2) What is the meaning of the “Place” in documentary films；(3) analyzes 3 directors how to build, to question, to deconstruction the “National allegory”；(4) National identity is based on what kind of political situation and how to respond Environmental documentary context. In conclusion, it is found that directors showed their own aesthetics taste in their own documentary films. It broke through traditonal environmental issues and recorded the damage in Taiwan. The documentary films also inspired new issues and analyzed national identity came from different political situation.
