Abstract
According to US Census Bureau’s report in March 2016, the pace of population aging around the world is growing at an unprecedented rate. The world’s 65-and-over population has reached 60 million (around 8.5% of world’s population), and the Bureau further projected the population will more than double to 1.6 billion by 2050 (nearly 17% of world’s population). Population aging obviously has become a critical issue across the world, and many countries have implemented a variety of policies to respond the rapid growth of the elderly population. In Asia, Japan is the first country in facing aging problem. The thesis is written by studying the research report, government policy and strategy, development roadmap, and real cases of the Japan’s aging society. Hopefully it could be a useful information for Taiwan to develop the service and business for the silver hair industry.
