Abstract
This thesis introduces the experimental foundation for a 375hp microturbine generator system, which includes inlet and exhaust section, testing frame, operating control system and measurement system. Besides, we have set up the operating control system which includes starter system, fuel supply system, lubrication system, ignition system and secondary air supply system of combustor. And we have completely designed and constructed the measurement devices and data acquisition system that are needed for measuring of engine baseline performance. Furthermore, RGT-3600 packaging system not only can establish its testing capacity, but also will provide circuit control system structure and arrangement of signal output hereafter.In this study, we have done test run of engine and study the best condition of engine starting and study of engine hot testing. We also applied GasTurb software to predict the engine performance. The result revealed the trends of engine design point and off-design point performance parameters which are close to experimental results. This proved that GasTurb software is capable to analyze performance of regenerative microturbine generation system and to compare with experimental data.
