Abstract

微波存取全球互通 WIMAX
Since WiMAX started to develop in 2000, WiMAX technology is used on fix long distance communication, it can solve the areas which ADSL&Cable modem are hard to achieve. Also, the main purpose is to reduce the budget and expense of wire network deployment. At that time, WiMAX uses 10~66GHz frequency and provides 32~134Mbps data rate. After that, the committee decides the frequency will be lower as 11GHz and the data rate is 75Mbps fix WiMAX (802.16-2004). Moreover, the frequency is lower as 6GHz and provides 15Mbps date rate as mobile WiMAX(802.16e-2005). Besides, Intel, Nokia and Alvarion establishes WiMAX forum in 2001. The major purpose is to move forward WiMAX products compatible and IOT (Interoperability)test. It also speed up WiMAX can be more popular soon. From now on, there are over 300 associators in WiMAX Forum and still on increasing; however, 3GPP system just announces to develop LTE in 2006 and no doubt to join 4G competitions. Each of telecom companies also declares to support their forum. It becomes the competition between WiMAX of Intel’s lead and LTE of Qualcomm’s lead. Therefore, the thesis will do research between WiMAX and LTE and do the comparison from technical point of view. Besides, the thesis will show whole picture to know the movement between WiMAX and LTE. Through the analysis of thesis, will also analyze which standard will be the winner in 4G market in future.
