Abstract
This thesis is an ethnographic study about Xiao-Li-Xi community theatre, and this project was hold by Hsinchu County Government in 2015 as a community development program. This study explores how the theatre was manipulated as a media to construct community development, and the interactive relationship between the theatre and locals. We can realize the evaluation and viewpoint about community theatre from the participants. At the same time, we take a reflexive stance as viewing community theatre as tool of empowerment. and focus especially on personal life experience. This study founds even though community development is a politicized process, and community theatre can be used easily in different political events. But the community theatre participants can still achieve social interaction and accumulation of self-experience.
