Abstract
This paper describes a in-line of engraving system using the hand-writing pad inputs. The user measures the surface of the workpiece to obtain local surface points and uses these data set to establish the mathematical model of the local surface. The system processes and edits the hand writing pad inputs and maps it on the surface of the workpiece. Finally, the system generates the NC program and send it to the engraving machine to cut the workpiece. The most important feature of this system is that the system uses a PC and a engraving machine to complete all the processes in-line, to get a remarkable, user desired script on the workpiece.
