Abstract
The development of video and broadband technology has resulted in the prosperity of multimedia applications and the emerging of digital video industry. This study examines the development of this new digital video service from the perspectives of the technology innovation and business management. As such the scope of the digital video industry is defined; the operation conditions are addressed; and the business models are elaborated. In-depth interviews with domain experts and scholars were conducted. The interview information along with the secondary data was then applied in the analysis. In the process of developing the final product and service, four players--creator-producer-distributor-user--are identified and then examines by showing each business model, management flow, and value creation process.
