Abstract
Today, new product development is a key for a company to survive. A company not only develops new product quickly but also satisfies customers and counteracts other competitors. Since new product development is so important, the issue about new product performance becomes concerned with scholars. Besides, many studies indicate new product development is a cross-functional process. New product development management such like communication, leadership style and control systems influence new product performance. Therefore, the purpose of this thesis aims to illustrate the relationship among new product development stage, development team’s leadership style, control system, and performance under different Business operation model to provide the guidance for the inducting while implementing new product development. At first, I make the initial understanding of TFT-LCD industry’s new product development by the secondary from literature of the academics and industries, and then design the questionnaire. Finally I analyze and organize the data from returned data by questionnaire survey and statistic analysis. This research has discovered that the development teams faced different uncertainty under different business operation model, and the development teams also used different development team’s leadership style, control system, and into superior and inferior performance is different.
